Warning signs (500 series)

A traffic warning sign is a type of traffic sign that indicates a hazard ahead on the road. Traingles with red borders are commonly used to indicate hazards ahead.

These are grouped into the 500 series, which also includes supplementary plates and warning chevrons.

Warning signs and supplementary plates may me mounted together on a yellow or grey backing board, or supplied individually.
