The contract to produce the signs was overseen by National Sales Manager Steve Garrett:
"We worked closely with Amey TfL (Transport for London) to finalise designs before production went ahead. After a busy few months, all signs have now been erected and the Low Emission Zone is now fully operational."
The signs were supplied with temporary removable self adhesive facings, informing the public of the start date and nature of the LEZ scheme.
They were erected well in advance of the opening date of the scheme: the synchronised removal of the self adhesive facings signalled the start of the scheme on 4th February 2008.
